David Mann is a speaker and trainer on the subject of communication and team efficiency. With Word to Action, he shares the secrets he has learned in his 25 years as an actor and director of live theater.
David has trained and spoken for General Mills, Hartford Life, Merrill Lynch, HealthPartners, Mayo Health System, and many other companies. He has been a featured speaker on the subject of communication for numerous business associations, and has created and presented customized keynote performances for three of Hartford's national sales conventions.
A professional theater artist for over two decades, David has performed or directed for the Guthrie Theater, The Children’s Theatre Company, Great River Shakespeare Festival, Torch Theater, Park Square Theatre, and many others. He has written and performed critically acclaimed one-man shows that have entertained audiences across the Midwest, and he was a 2006 recipient of a Bush Artist Fellowship. As a commercial actor, David was the spokesman for Midwest Wireless phones for six years, and has appeared in hundreds of television and radio commercials locally and nationally.
David received a Bachelor of Science of Speech degree from Northwestern University, and went on to receive a Classical Acting Diploma at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Before he began training business professionals he was a theatre teacher in a Minnesota high school, and later created a writing and performance program for students that remained at the core of the Guthrie Theater's education department for eight years.
David lives in Maple Grove, Minnesota with his wife, Gina, and their two sons, Henry and Jasper.
